Thoughtless

Ever wondered, how forever we are bounded by thoughts? Good thoughts, bad thoughts, but thoughts everywhere. I could never understand how the brain works and where all these thoughts come from (the scientists claim they do). I wonder if they will ever be decoded, thoughts.

But there is a space in our lives, our everyday lives, where we can be absolutely thoughtless. Some call it meditation, a place, a state of the mind when the mind sleeps. But such is the hustle and bustle of success, we forget to rest our tired mind. And the poor mind toils and toils hard.

I ask you, how much does it take to rest the mind? What is it worth to be thoughtless for a while?

Ever since we start understanding the scheme of things all we ever do is to worry. We worry about being alone and we worry about when our next meal is gonna come. We worry about success and we worry about failure. And when we are not worrying, we wonder. We wonder about happiness and we wonder about peace. We wonder about good things and how everything will be all right. What we do not ever realize that sometimes, being still is fun. No worries and no wondering. But we are just too busy to ever notice.

Take a break sometimes. And by a break, I do not mean a holiday. Just be still for some time everyday, when thoughts and worries do not attack your mind. Stay in a state of absolute inertia. Find your cocoon. Meditation is not about stilling still in a place and thinking. Meditation is about finding a place or an activity which leaves you completely thoughtless.

I found it in the gym. I do not workout to have a wonderful physique. But I go there to be absolutely thoughtless. An hour of absolutely no thoughts, just sweat and peace. Reema, a colleague found peace in her quest for the perfect picture. Only, she would paint that picture. Aryan, on the other hand finds peace when he is listening to his favorite music. In the end, all that matters is resting the poor tired mind.

Try it, break free, find peace. Stay Thoughtless!
